Set sail for Anime North! - Tuesday, January 16 2007 - Kenney
We're back, and after a prolonged period of inactivity, we are in the process of establishing our Anime North 2007 ventures!

This year will be a change around from those previous. For starters, the plan is to have a day where we are co-ordinated in cosplay, either in genre or, more preferably, in series. Similar to last year, we are looking at Fighters, and probably another genre upon insistence. So King of Fighters and Mortal Kombat will work as a genre mix, however I ask for a reply from everyone to see if we can establish cosplay ideas for one series (or a crossover, ie. KOF/MOTW, MVC, etc...

Second; Thomas Jefferson, Third President of the United States of America, stated that "In matters of style, flow like a river; in matters of principle, stand like a rock".
This applies to our performances on stage, both for the Friday night skit contest, and the Saturday night Msaquerade (see III). After studying the success and response of other quality skits by our counterparts, we will be revamping the style of our performance, or at least a large element of it, into something that works with our classic Gaijin humour. This includes Music, Dance, Scene construction, and Workmanship.

Third- We will be entering into the Saturday night Masquerade. Many groups and individuals are well received after thier 60-second showoff at the Masq., and it has been something we as a group have neglected over the years- so everyone, make room in your con schedule for Saturday night and keep your group costume ready because our hindquarters are still gonna be in gear.

I'm hoping to have bandwith problems on the forums over the next eighteen weeks due to the substantial amount of posts that will be going up there- we've got alot of planning ahead of us! Let's rock!

Anime North 2006 - Tuesday, May 30 2006 - Kenney
So it's come and gone, another weekend of blue sky, colourful costumes, and the aroma of Harveys in the air. It came and went too soon?

Everyone, congratulations. We won Best Skit. We hit a few rough parts but we stil made it through and pulled off a laugh out loud, two thumbs up performance. I personally thank everyone who showed up for the rehearsals, put forth the effort, and made this thing happen. <3. Party at my place sometime this summer.

I'm glad we all enjoyed ourselves for the most part. It was certainly a memorable weekend for many a thing! The Park Plaza was nice this year, and it kicked ass that we were all on the same floor. Although I say before the winter comes in this year, we snag ourselves a place at the Doubletree for AN 2007.

So for now, let's kick off the summer and get some hardcore loitering done. Pretty soon we'll have to start cracking down again too; next stop, CNX06!

Anime North X - Thursday, May 18 2006 - Hidoshi
Like Kenney said, it's drawing close. Forums work, front page works. The other sections should go up after the con, along with the first photo gallery.

Anime North X: 7 days...Special thanks to Mark! - Thursday, May 18 2006 - Kenney
Well it looks like it's here, finally, after much discussion and just a week before the con, The East & West Gaijin website! Mark, we all thank you for this truly kick-ass space. We still have to get the other sections up and running soon, probably a task that we can fit in from now 'till next week, inclduing the notoriously cool bio pages, the galleries, and of course, the forum.

The final email has been sent out in regards to the final rehearsal at Benoit's place and everyone, well, almost everyone is set and good to go.

More news to come as the site progresses in coolness and sections- stay frosty team!

More News - Thursday, May 18 2006 - Hidoshi
I figure it's probably a good idea to make a couple of newsposts so we can see how it looks. This is just the bug-testing phase of things, so don't pay much attention just yet.

East & West Gaijin website opens - Thursday, May 18 2006 - Hidoshi
This is the working design. It'll be updated as required, changed if needed. Coranto works on the server, so news can be posted without digging into the HTML. I love automation.

And now a random word about the EWG...
